Yamaha PSR-SX Forum • PSR-SX920 Crash

Yesterday, after just getting the new 920 in hand, I was scrolling through the styles, playing along while changing styles and exploring OTS and multipad variations. I was about 20 style changes in when the music stopped making sense (mostly it stopped with a couple of odd sounding notes sustained), the keyboard and touch screen stopped responding, and then I got this message below.

The power button also did not respond. I had to unplug the board entirely to restart it. Seems okay so far after that.
Note that I already have the 1.10 firmware installed.
In the month or so I had the 900 this never occurred.

Meanwhile, the same style it crashed on plays fine after a reboot, sounding excellent. It's a magic making machine for sure. But now I'm left wondering what caused the halt, and what it would be like to be playing in front of a group and have it happen there. I used to work in telecom hw/sw and understand that a few wrinkles won't become apparent until you get quantities of units out in production. Still, I find this somewhat alarming... for this price, I did not expect to be a beta tester.

Anyone heard of such a thing on this, or other PSRs? Is there a place to send such an error message to?

Thanks,
Scott
