I spend a lot of time hunting for styles. It's something I have enjoyed since my early PSR days. Fortunately Yamaha has maintained backwards compatability and most old stuff still translates well. I've got "folders and folders" of styles that I have labeled "keepers". These styles have been given a quick audition and saved for later if I liked what I heard. When I go back to further edit them I don't always like what I have saved. These "keepers" have lost there shine. Whatever I heard in a previous audition isn't there anymore.
I guess this isn't any different than having a list of your favorite styles and that day finally comes when you get bored. Keeping whatever content you use fresh is important. I never know where my next musical journey will take me. But, always having some more styles to try will help me get there! Best wishes. -charley
