I've had the original 37 key Opsix a while ago.
I still have the VST (You get it at a very low price if you buy the hardware).
It's an 'altered FM' synthesizer, it can do all DX7 stuff (you can even send it the DX7 voices via Sysex if you wish) but there is a lot more than just FM. And of course it has filters and effects.
The sliders and knobs make FM synthesis as accessible as possible.
But the 37 key version has an awful keybed (which is of course not the case for the 61 key SE, which has a premium keybed). In the end I sold it.
The SE has a polyphony of 80 voices. It is however monotimbral, so not much to gain from this. It's still a good buy if you like to experiment with FM but your Montage can also do that and you also have PAT. Maybe consider getting the VST (demo version is available) and control it with Montage. The VST also supports PAT.
