The Motif XF might not be "old", but it isn't new either. If I remember correctly, the model was released about 14 years ago. Nevertheless, while I like Yamaha gear, I'm less enthralled with the Music Division of Yamaha Corporation.

- will download the OS compatibility PDF (pa_os_mac_windows_compatibility_202412.pdf) that includes Sonoma info. There's no indication that any testing is being done for Yamaha Steinberg FireWire (YSFW) drivers. It appears that Yamaha has abandoned Motif XF owners in terms of FW16E (the FireWire card) support. It costs money to update drivers, among other considerations.![Sad :-(]()
Hopefully someone will respond to your request with constructive help, but I'm not encouraged by what I've seen from Yamaha. My own approach is to run older computers with older software. It's not what I'd prefer, but at least I haven't completely lost the advantages of the FireWire interface.
