YAMAHA: 60 Years of Electric Guitars (1965-2024) - An Enthusiast’s Catalogue
Author: Rod A. Francis
Published in the United Kingdom
This is a NEW(2024), professionally printed and high quality Softback book, self-published by me (the Author) as a private individual. No publisher, agent, bookseller, marketing organisation or any other business has been involved in its production except the Printer & Bookbinder who I commissioned and paid myself. A print run of 100 copies (costing £13.03 per copy) is now in stock and available for purchase direct from me (see details below). I do not have any expectation that sales demand will justify further print runs at a realistic cost/selling price. Consequently, it is"first come/first served while stocks last".
Background
I have been gathering public domain information about Yamaha electric guitars since I bought my first one in the late noughties. My objective was to create a personal catalogue of Yamaha electric guitars covering every single Series/Model produced since the very first one in 1965. It has been a labour of love and obsession. I have updated it very regularly over recent years as I kept finding previously unknown models and adding them to my catalogue. I decided to set myself a ‘completion date’ of 2024, the 60th Anniversary of Yamaha electric guitar production. Here it is as at 2024, over 10 years in the writing.
I make no claim to my catalogue being definitive or authoritative. It is my personal interpretation of the history of these guitars and their comparative specifications after thoroughly researching the enormous range of public domain subject matter available. My decision to self-publish and offer for sale is based on a hope (rather than an expectation) that any devotee of electric guitars in general, and Yamaha in particular, will find it an interesting and informative reference book.
It is a very colourful book - A4 format (Portrait/Landscape) Softback– 218 pages
