Glad a reset worked! Yes, our previous Yamaha electronics technician (he retired several years ago now) told me that most of these boards need a reboot at least every 6 months. I once forgot that myself, and panicked because my CVP309 wouldn't even play a triad chord without dropping out a note! Turns out I'd forgotten to reboot it for 2 yearsThank you guys on excellent suggestions. certainly helpful.
Just to mention , Mark, I had tried some of the things you have suggested. to no avail.
However, I've recently tried Factory reset by holding the highest key while turning on Genos2.
It is possible that I "fixed" the glitch. (I'm saying this hesitantly). since than I'm trying to reproduce the issue but it is working smoothly!!
I'll have to test it more longer. Time will tell. (still waiting on Yamaha Support LOL)
Greg

Yamaha (and Korg) support really vary by country to country, and question by question, so sometimes they're *really* on the ball. And sometimes they'll hope the issue just goes away. Something so sporadic and unusual, unfortunately, probably means they're stumped too. But they should eventually come back with "Try resetting the board"... as everyone knows, that's IT step one
