I've recently returned to playing my electric guitars after an extensive break for a variety of reasons. The first thing I noticed is that my fingers are definitely a lot less agile (at 73) than they were a few years ago. I found I was mis-hitting open strings quite a lot when playing my scales etc. with any degree of speed. I know that this will probably improve with practice but it got me thinking. Are there any scales/keys which are compatible with ALL the open strings such that any mis-hitting doesn't sound bad/discordant? In other words, so that my 'mistakes' were not noticeable.
I adopted a simple "method" to identify any major/minor and mode ones and then googled to find any others.
The results are in the attachment. Not rocket science by any means but interesting to me nevertheless. Most of them I would not be dabbling anyway but others might.
