So a couple of days have passed already and I am now learning my first chords. A couple of friends also tried the guitar and liked it.
Having played keyboards and piano for years definitely helps, in many ways, not just the theory but also of course rhythm and I guess hand independence.
Today I also lowered the action, the strings were quite high really but I did get a string action gauge so I could set them to the values shown in the manual. It's now much easier to play really.
The only problem is really my tiny fingers and palm, my small finger is just about 5 cm and middle finger about 7.5. It's good that they are really thin but I will probably need to find alternate fingerings for lots of stuff.
But there is no rush really.
