Every single style should at least load on an sx900, if not map properly in terms of voices. Meaning the data errors you get are from errors (not necessarily on your end). I used to get data has not loaded properly with styles as well, but it turned out USB sticks were dying faster than I realized (I now backup to a completely different stick every 2-3 years, and backup to pc hd every other month).
One of my last backups? the USB stick had *just* started corrupting, luckily the backup 2 months earlier had the folder intact.
THe point is a lot of styles that I backed up to HD, if the usb stick was already dying, the backed up styles from that dying stick on my hard drive are also corrupted, so if I then copied those to a new USB stick? Would still give a file not loading properly.
Not necessarily your usb stick; probably whomever uploaded them inadvertently uploaded damaged files. Especially given you've tried with 2 different sticks.
